Size Guide: How to Measure Yourself for Plus Size Clothing

Because the right size = the right confidence.

Let’s be honest — finding the right size in plus size fashion can feel like a guessing game.     One brand’s 3XL is another’s 5XL.     And “free size”? Don’t even get us started 🙄

At The Plus Size Co, we offer sizes from M to 10XL — and every size is designed with real Indian bodies in mind.

To help you get your best fit, here’s a simple guide on how to measure yourself at home in under 5 minutes.

📏 What You’ll Need:

  • A soft measuring tape (or even a string + ruler if you're in a pinch)
  •
  • A mirror
  •
  • Wear a light fitted tee & leggings (or your regular underclothes)
  •

🧍 How to Take Your Measurements

1. Bust

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest — right over the bust.     Keep it level across your back and parallel to the floor.

2. Waist

Find the narrowest part of your waist — usually 1–2 inches above your navel.     Don’t pull the tape too tight — you should be able to breathe easy!

3. Hips

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips & bum.     This is where most women get confused — make sure the tape is straight across!

4. Arm Round

For sleeves that actually fit — measure around the widest part of your upper arm.

5. Length (Optional)

Want to check how long a kurta will be on you? Measure from shoulder to knee or ankle, depending on your preference.

💬 Real Talk: It’s Not You, It’s the Chart

If you’ve been blaming your body for not fitting into sizes — stop right there.     You’re not “too big.” The industry’s just been too lazy with sizing.

We’re here to change that — with size-inclusive fashion that’s built around your body, not the other way around.
